About

I make complex systems easier to understand, operate, and improve.

My career crosses retail planning, project operations, documentation, systems implementation, and human-centered AI. The through-line is not a list of job titles. It is a consistent way of working.

A career built around making complexity usable

I am Motya “Ali” Ali, an operations and business systems professional based in San Francisco. For more than 15 years, I worked across merchandise planning, inventory strategy, allocation, ecommerce, executive reporting, and retail systems for major consumer brands and channels.

That work taught me how to manage scale, reconcile competing signals, communicate clearly with leaders, and turn commercial data into practical decisions. My current work expands those strengths into project administration, workflow design, documentation governance, user enablement, and process improvement.

I also design human-centered AI workflows and prototypes that address recurring operational problems: fragmented information, missed handoffs, cognitive overload, inaccessible processes, and the difficulty of turning evidence into action.

My goal is not to replace judgment with automation. It is to create clearer systems that help people preserve context, understand what matters, and make better decisions.

I am currently studying Computer Science at City College of San Francisco while continuing to develop practical systems, documentation, and portfolio projects.
